of experience in making and selling quality trophies, plaques and promotional
items. Like most family-owned businesses, we began small, worked
hard, and made a place for ourselves in the ever-growing and competitive

| How did we
get started? The answer is simple! We started with a love of
community and commitment! Our original owners were Bob and Jennie
Dick. In the late 1950’s, Bob “Moby” Dick worked two jobs, but still
found time to coach little league sports in Alexandria, Virginia.
It was during one of these coaching assignments that Bob met his future
wife and business partner, Jennie Riley. |

After
a world-wind courtship, they married, merged their families, and started
Dick’s Trophies. It was truly a family affair with Jennie serving
as the primary sales professional, Bob building the trophies and engraving
the plates, and Jennie’s sons pitching in as needed. Starting with
trophies and plaques for little league sports and adult bowling leagues,
Dick’s Trophies quickly earned the reputation for friendly service and
quality products at economical prices. |

| Jennie knew
each customer’s preferences, gained from personal conversations that turned
numerous customers into life-long friends; while Bob encouraged the customers,
providing pointers to the coaches, parents, and players on how to achieve
a winning season. Not surprisingly, Dick’s Trophies’ flourished in
this environment! |

Over
the years, Dick’s Trophies steadily grew, enabling us to modernize our
showroom, update the equipment, increase the staff, and expand our product
lines. Now, Dick’s Trophies is an established, state-of-the-art facility
that specializes in awards for all occasions, ranging from sports and team
trophies to corporate awards and promotional products.
